ผมได้เรียนรู้สามเรื่อง จากคำไว้อาลัยจอห์น
ลิววิส ของท่านประธานาธิบดี
๑. เรียนภาษาอังกฤษ

1. เรียนภาษาอังกฤษ จากท่าน:
ท่านพูดตลก
บอกว่า John
was born into modest means – that means he was poor คนฟังหัวเราะเลย
มีสำนวนเก๋
ๆ ที่ผมชอบ และต่อไปอาจลอกเลียนใช้บ้าง เช่น Explicit in those words is
the idea that we are imperfect;
มีคำสอนที่น่าฟัง คือ Once you learn something, once you get
something inside your head, no one can take it away from you.
วลีเท่ ๆ เช่น their sense of purpose, got a taste of victory,
ใช้ภาษาที่โน้มน้าว say no this isn’t right, this isn’t true,
this isn’t just
หรือนี่ก็คม to keep getting into that good trouble
และนี่ น่าคิด You only pass this way once. You have to give it
all you have.
2. เรียนเรื่องประชาธิปไตย จากท่านครับ:
เช่น nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience were the means
to change laws
หรือ segregation of interstate bus facilities was
unconstitutional
หรือ a system that denied the basic humanity of their fellow
citizens
หรือ The Voting Rights Act is one of the crowning achievements
of our democracy นี่เป็นครั้งแรกที่ผมได้ยินได้ฟังเรื่องนี้ –

หรือ the very attacks on democracy…………….that we are seeing

our children to grow up in a democracy – not just with elections, but a true
democracy, a representative democracy,

เพราะฉะนั้น
ผมเข้าใจประโยคนี้ของท่าน the thing about John was just how gentle and
humble he was ผมเข้าใจในแนวพุทธ

treated everyone with kindness and respect because it was innate to him นี่ผมก็เข้าใจในแนวพุทธ
แล้วผมก็เข้าใจและเห็นใจ
ที่ท่านวิพากษ์วิจารณ์สังคมอเมริกัน ว่า We start feeling as if, in
fact, that we can’t afford to extend kindness or decency to other people.
That as
long as we have our breath in our bodies, we have to continue his cause. สำหรับผม โห เนี่ยะสุดยอด อาณาปาฯ เลยแหละ
ผมอยากยกย่อง ชมเชย คำอาลัยของท่านมากกว่านี้ แต่ไม่กล้าทำ
ไม่กล้าเขียนมาก เพราะกลัวจะเฝือ ผมไม่มีฝีมือพอที่จะเขียน
สามประเด็นที่เขียนไปนั้น ไม่ได้เสแสร้งแกล้งดัดจริตประดิดประดอย
มันเดินเรียงกันออกมาจากใจ
ทำไม
อ่ะ? เวลาผมนึกถึงนักสู้ “เพื่อสิทธิมนุษย์ชน” ประเภท นายจรัลก็ดี นายสมศักดิ์ก็ดี
ที่ลี้ภัยการเมืองอยู่ในประเทศฝรั่งเศสเวลานี้
หรือนายนายสตีเว่น
เบรนท์วู้ด หรือ aka นายเอกภพ หรือ aka ตั้ง อาชีวะ (แดงฮาร์ดคอร์) ผู้ต้องหาคดีหมิ่นฯพระเจ้าอยู่หัว
ลี้ภัยที่ประเทศนิวซีแลนด์

ทำไมอ่ะครับ ผมอยากจะเอาตีนไปเหยียบหน้า แม่งมันทุกคนเลยอ่ะ ทำไมครับ?
แต่ ทำไมกับ จอห์น
ลิววิส ผมแทบจะกราบ? ต่างก็ต่อสู้ เพื่อสิทธิมนุษย์ชน ด้วยกันทั้งนั้น
